Gentle Yoga For You
Making Yoga accessible to all
LIVE, LOVE, LAUGH...& KEEP ON MOVING! DO IT FOR YOU!
It’s never too late to start moving! I have taught fitness and yoga since 1994, and have a deep rooted passion to encourage and guide people to achieve their wellness goals. I value that precious gift of life living within our physical bodies and, although we experience changes in our bodies with age, regular exercise is key to maintaining and/or improving our strength, balance and flexibility for our daily living activities and overall well-being. There is movement that will benefit Every-Body!
I completed numerous certifications over the years and continue to study. I am a 500 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT500 Hatha), and am certified as: Older Adult Yoga Teacher; Restorative Yoga Teacher; Fitness (& Seniors Fitness) Instructor; and HeartWise Designated Instructor. I aspire to share the best of my creativity, knowledge, technical abilities and passion for yoga with every participant. At the same time, I feel tremendous gratitude for the opportunity to connect with, and learn from others.
Yoga has been a part of my life for more than 15 years. I first started practicing yoga because I thought it would help me with my aches, pains and lack of flexibility. Over the years it has done much more for me. It has helped me grow stronger yet graceful, more flexible and gentler with myself both on and off the mat. Yoga inspires me to live each moment more mindfully. After 30 years of working in an office I decided to deepen my yoga knowledge and completed a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) training in the traditional Hatha yoga style. Additionally I am certified as a YIN, Restorative, Chair and Gentle Yoga teacher, and am a HeartWise designated instructor. I will always be a student of the practice of yoga and am deeply grateful for the loving wisdom my teachers have shared with me.
In my classes, I love to combine movement with breath, work on the breath, include a spirit of playfulness and a dose of inspiration to help you deepen your practice. I seek to help others thrive by nurturing body, mind and soul with yoga. My hope is that you leave my class feeling refreshed, nourished and balanced.
